In all things considered, the Titanic was not a great turn out. The huge vessel had a lot of flaws, most of them caused by either Captain Smith, the shipbuilders, or Bruce Ismay. Why? Well lets start with the head of the ship. First, Captain Smith took the Titanic on a head on collision with a huge iceberg. Instead of keeping to his original route, Mr. Smith goes on an alternate his route, and because of that, the Titanic was face to face with an iceberg. Why are the shipbuilders in the running for the blame? As a matter of fact, the people that built the Titanic actually used improper materials to build this unsinkable ship. They used iron plates and not to mention the downgraded rivets, to construct the ship, in order to save money. But wait, why could Bruce Ismay be blamed for the downfall of the voyage also? Could it be his selfishness for money? He was actually the one that cut down the number of lifeboats by at least 50%, just to fit more people on the boat. Not only did he reduce the lifeboat number, but also he pressured Captain Smith to go fast so they could make a 6 day trip. With this, by the time the crew saw the massive iceberg, the ship was going to fast to turn out of the way. Did that cause the destruction of the Titanic? Was it caused by multiple people? No one really knows that answer, but I guess we can start with this.
